Course Summary

Welcome to our 6-week Puppy Course designed specifically for puppies aged 12 weeks to 12 months. This comprehensive program goes beyond basic obedience training by focusing on essential life skills and providing a well-rounded socialisation experience.

Throughout the course, we prioritise the development of crucial behaviours while ensuring a safe and supervised environment for your puppy to interact with others. Our aim is to create a strong foundation for both you and your furry companion, fostering a harmonious and fulfilling relationship.  

Our course comprises six engaging in-person classes, each lasting 60 minutes. These interactive sessions are carefully structured to make learning enjoyable for both you and your puppy. Additionally, to support your progress outside the classroom, we offer access to recap videos and a dedicated Facebook support group. This ensures that you have the necessary resources to continue training at home and reinforce the skills learned during the sessions.  

We firmly believe that investing in your puppy's training during their first year of life sets the stage for long-term success. By establishing positive habits early on, we aim to prevent negative behaviours from taking hold. With our expert guidance and the dedication you put into your puppy's development, you'll lay the groundwork for a well-behaved and happy companion.

Alistair Kirk

Alistair has been a professional Dog Trainer and Behaviour Practitioner since 2018, and has been training and working with dogs since 2009. He is passionate about promoting the use of non-forceful training methods and the benefits - and effective results - that they offer.

He is: 

    He is also a member of the Pet Professional Guild British Isles (PPGBI), the International Companion Animal Network (ICAN), and the Dog Welfare Alliance.  

    He has studied extensively with a variety of canine training providers including the IMDT, Dog Training College, the UKCSD, the WSDA, the School of Canine Science, Gemma Harvey (Dynamic Dog) and Veterinary Behaviourist Dr Amber Batson, attending a wide range of workshops, seminars, webinars and courses, all as part of a rigorous programme of continuing professional development that ensures he stays up to date with the latest research and how we can best apply that research to training techniques.

      He also holds certificates in Canine First Aid and Advanced (Human) First Aid, and has Public Liability Insurance.
